We would like to provide you with a brief introduction to our service process, complimentary services, pricing structure, and money-saving tips:
Service Process
Step 1: Schedule a consultation
You can reach us by dialing 323-968-0018. You may also add our WeChat account: zhoulawgroup. When you make initial contact, our assistant will schedule a consultation with one of our lawyers. The first 30 minutes of the consultation with the lawyer are free. Please note that we do not offer free counseling for pre-marriage and post-marriage agreements. Our business hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific time (excluding reservations).
Step 2: Complete the consultation form
After your consultation is scheduled, you will receive an email invitation to complete the intake form link for the consultation. The information you provide will enable the lawyer to analyze and prepare your case before the consultation, so that they can serve you more efficiently and effectively during the consultation.
Step 3: Attend the consultation on time
Please attend the consultation at the scheduled time. Following the consultation, per your needs, our assistant will provide you with the retainer agreement, and in case you have any questions or concerns about the contract’s terms, our assistant will explain them to you free of charge.
Step 4: Sign the agreement and Case Open
A written retainer agreement shall be signed jointly by you and our law firm together. Upon completion of the signing the contract, you will need to fulfill the payment of the initial deposit (commonly referred to as the Retainer Fee) to your Trust Funds account, as agreed upon in the agreement. We will then assign the most suitable lawyers and paralegals to work on your case.
The term “Trust” refers to the deposit, which we use to pay expenses incurred in the next month’s work. The Term “Retainer Fee” refers to the first deposit, while “Trust Funds” refer to your deposit account, which must maintain the agreed-upon amount continually.
Step 5: Review Monthly Bill and Submit Payment
The Zhou Law Group will provide you with an itemized bill at the beginning of each month, outlining the legal services provided in the preceding month. The bill will contain a detailed breakdown of the legal services rendered, administrative work performed, the respective time and personnel rates for each task, as well as any fees charged by third parties, including court filing fees, trial record fees, and service fees. The bill will also show the current balance of your deposit account. If you have any questions about the bill, our law firm will provide you with free-of-charge explanation services.
Step 6: Case Closure and Refund
Upon the conclusion of your case, The Zhou Law Group will send you a final bill. If there are any remaining funds in your deposit account, we will return the funds promptly to you.
Complimentary Service
- We provide free Chinese-English translation in oral and written form when communicating with our lawyers or paralegals internally. Please note that court interpretation and translation of court documents are excluded from this service.
- By opting for eCheck as the payment method, we will waive the single payment fee of $10. Additionally, we offer free billing inquiry, clear payment records, and we’re happy to answer any questions you may have.
- We offer free services for all work generated by the synchronization and updating of case information carried out by lawyers and paralegals in teamwork. When lawyers and paralegals are changed due to employee leave or case needs, any work associated with the transfer of the case will be provided to you at no cost.
Pricing Structure
Our pricing structure for services is based on the hourly rate of the individual working on your case multiplied by the total number of hours spent. This means that the total cost of your case is not directly related to your income or asset level. During your consultation with an attorney, they will inform you of our competitive hourly rates for both our legal professionals and support staff. Monthly billing expenses are related to the workload of the month, which is determined by several factors, including the progress of the case, its complexity, the level of controversy involved, and the client’s personal needs.
Money-Saving Tips
- When communicating with our legal team, phone calls and video calls are usually more efficient than using email. This can help to reduce costs effectively.
- We deeply understand that our clients may experience emotional pressure during legal proceedings, but in order to control costs, it is important to limit personal emotional expression. We encourage clients to ask their lawyer to initiate questions whenever possible and to limit responses to direct answers and information pertinent to the case.
- Placing complete confidence in our team’s professional expertise will effectively reduce communication time and costs, minimize unnecessary interpretation of legal procedures and detailed implementation in your case.
